Schwarze Norma Torres was born in Santiago de Chile on December 31, 1955. His childhood was spent in Vallenar where she tended practicing drawing and painting constantly.

Studied a year at the Experimental School of Art Education in Santiago living permanently in contact with all artistic endeavors such as music, painting, sculpture, among others. Then he joined the University of Chile where he studied Basic Education, giving the ground for art classes.

In 1978 he started painting classes with teacher Eleanor of Amesti until 1980, then travels to America where he continued painting, specializing in human figure and portraits.

In 1984 he entered the workshop of the painter and teacher Carmen Piemonte until 1990, then return temporarily to the workshop.

His current techniques are: Oil Painting and Pastel, being his favorite subject the human figure, abstraction of color and form, transparency and composition of light, the latter immersed in all his works such as landscapes, flowers, still lifes, seascapes and especially the human figure.

Today is dedicated to exercise as a painting and drawing at the Foundation Officers Ladies Army.
